It turned out better than I'd expected and has prompted me to try this more often. It was sculpted in parts, within ZBrush, using a base figure I'd made as a guide for mask extractions. I then exported these extractions to Silo and began creating a low res single object out of the multiple parts from ZBrush. Then, I took the low res mesh back into ZBrush to add details and color. The result was rendered within ZBrush and then color corrected and post worked (soft glow/sheen) in Photoshop.

The Incredible Hulk

Okay....here's the rundown:

The base mesh was created in Silo. I then sculpted the volume I wanted, making adjustments to his belly and head shape in particular. I then took the model into ZBrush 3 to try out its toolset.

Before doing so, I decided to grab an iced tea and some chips.

After toying with the model a bit in ZBrush, I decided to make a nice headshot of the model. So, I went in and changed the smooth child-like facial features of the Silo mesh into the ape like Hulk you see before you.
After trying out various Matcap materials, I finally went with a slightly green version of one and then rendered. Not knowing how to export a render from ZBrush, I performed a screen capture and pasted it into Photoshop.

Finished my tea and chips (I'd almost forgot they were there).

Using Photoshop's tools, I cropped the image until it was mainly just the head shown and performed a levels adjustment on the picture. Selecting a light green from the image, I then used Photoshop's lettering tool to add the simple text shown. Instead of using a simple drop shadow (which would have been fine) I duplicated the word HULK and set it to black, positioning the new text over the old. I then flattened the image and saved for web.

-The End.
