Shiny New Armor
Photoshop, Silo, ZBrush
September 2007

This was done as a means of seeing how well I could do hard surface modeling. It turned out better than I'd expected and has prompted me to try this more often. It was sculpted in parts, within ZBrush, using a base figure I'd made as a guide for mask extractions. I then exported these extractions to Silo and began creating a low res single object out of the multiple parts from ZBrush. Then, I took the low res mesh back into ZBrush to add details and color. The result was rendered within ZBrush and then color corrected and post worked (soft glow/sheen) in Photoshop.
